The Elon Phoenix left 12 runners on base and went just 2-for-9 with runners in scoring position in a 7-4 loss to the East Carolina Pirates from Latham Park on Tuesday night. The loss dropped Elon to 34-19 on the year while East Carolina improved its mark to 28-21 this season. Elon will break for exams before concluding the regular season with a three-game Southern Conference series with the Samford Bulldogs. The set will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19.
