  1. Way to bounce back Falcon’s and Coach Beasley. You had a tough ending to the regular season, but a outstanding win tonight in the first round over a quality opponent in SW Guilford.

  2. Northeast 10 Williams 9 8 innings

Sophomore Cole Wyrick drove in Jaylin Davis from 3rd with a 2 out line drive hit to left center.

  3. Pete Schultz struck out 18 in East Forsyth’s win over Dudley while allowing just three hits.

  4. Way to go SEG!

I am shocked to see WG go down big in the first round. Is N Meck that strong or did WG just have a bad night? Maybe 77 Hornet can offer some insight.

  5. Tough 1st round opponent. No excuses just a tough team. North Meck had beat Ardrey Kell, Providence, Myers Park and split with Lake Norman and Butler. WG went up 2-0 in the bottom of the 1st. In the 2nd with 2 outs N. Meck hit a 2 run homer and another solo hr to go ahead 3-2. N. Meck never looked back. WG did rally late and actually left the bases loaded in the bottom of the 7th.

  6. To answer to question sefan N. Meck was a great wild card team coming out of a tough conference in Charlotte which breeds baseball talent. Western also did not play their best baseball as they could not hit a mediocre pitcher. Good luck to all the remaining teams.

  7. Actually they brought in a kid who throws upper 80s and is going to app in the last inning and Western hit him harder than the starter. They ran themselves out of the game with the second kid on the mound.
