Greensboro College Pride Player tabbed for prestigious game

Greensboro College’s Nick Patrone (Supply, NC/Apex) has been selected for the USILA/LaxWorld Division III North/South Senior All-Star Game. The game is set for this Friday at Goucher College, Towson, Md. at 3:00 PM.

Patrone, a member of the South team, becomes the seventh GC men’s lacrosse player tabbed for the prestigious game. He ended his four-year Pride career first all-time in ground balls (208), fourth in goals (90) and seventh in points (111). He netted a team-high 29 goals in 2010.

Patrone helped GC to a 9-6 record, tying the third most wins in program history in 2010. He carried a 3.5 grade point average, majored in business finance and graduated form GC in May. Patrone has earned spots on the USA South All Academic Team and the Greensboro College Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

“I’m really happy for Nick,” said Coach Dan Cetrone. “He gave 110% of his time and energy to our program the past four years. This is a very appropriate honor and a great way to cap his career.”
