Greensboro College Women’s Basketball Announces Three More Commits

Greensboro College Head Women’s Basketball Coach Randy Tuggle has announced commitments from three student-athletes. Hillary Cook, Hannah Holm and Jeana Knappenberger have been accepted by the college, made deposits and are expected to join The Pride next year.

Cook played basketball at Northeast Guilford High School. A forward, she averaged 5.7 points, 7 rebounds, one block and one steal per game for the Rams. She earned all conference honors for coach Brandon Apple this past year. Cook also played four seasons of tennis and one year of soccer at Northeast. A native of Browns Summit,
Cook plans to study criminal justice at Greensboro College.

Holm is from Charlotte, NC and was team MVP and an all state honoree for her Charlotte home school squad. She averaged 18 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.5 steals as a senior. Holm is a guard-forward and also played volleyball as a prep. She plans to study history education and is a Greensboro College Presidential Scholar at GC.

Knappenberger is a 6-foot post player from St. Mary’s, Ga. where she played a Camden County High School. She scored 14 points and averaged 11 rebounds and was an all-region selection last year. Knappenberger, who was twice picked all conference, will study education at GC.

“I’m very excited about these three young ladies,” Tuggle said. “I’ve admired Cook’s hustle and solid play for a while.

Holm is a great student and someone who can develop into a solid college player for us. We expect Jeana to contribute immediately in the post.”

The trio join three other student-athletes who recently committed to GC women’s hoops.
