You may want to watch the game from the upper parking lot that looks down on the field and if former Mayor Swisher is there, please shake his hand and congratualte him for hosting this, the Fourth Round of the State NCHSAA 4-A Playoffs, in what could turn out to be the biggest game in the history of the city of Kernersville…..

More on that East Forsyth-North Davidson game from the Winston-Salem Journal:

East Forsyth completed an improbable come-from-behind 6-5 win when Ben Anderson scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 10th inning, lifting the Eagles past North Davidson last night(Friday) in the third round of the NCHSAA 4-A baseball playoffs.

East (20-7) came from behind twice to tie the score after it appeared the Eagles were going down to defeat.

Down 4-0 in the seventh and unable to get a hit against North Davidson starter Jordan Ramsey, East hit two two-run homers with one out to send the game to extra innings.

Evan Orenstein hit a towering drive to right center field that appeared to be caught by Kelly Secrest of North, but the ball popped out of Secrest’s glove and went over the fence.

After a walk to Jacob Watts, Robinson smashed a drive to left field on the first pitch he saw to tie the game.

“I tell the kids all the time ‘When we’re behind, get the pitcher in the stretch,’ ” said Coach Alan Plaster of East. “I’m pretty sure he (Ramsey) had faced the minimum up until that point.

  1. Just want to give a congrats to Coach Plaster. He has won 20+ games the last 3 years while at East and since he has taken over he has won 4 consecutive conference championships I believe

  2. East over Glenn 8-1…East will play in its first regional final in school history!

  3. EF 8
    Glenn 1
    WP Shane Dickerson
East gets TC Roberson at their place later this week. TC can really hit but I think EF has the pitching depth to shut them down. I’ve liked EF all year. They hit all the way through the lineup and they have pitching depth.
