Proehlific Power tops Hi-Toms Legion team on Tuesday night

The Proehlific Power defeated the Hi-Toms American Legion team Tuesday
evening by the score of 10-7.

High Point went ahead in the top of the 1st on a double by Cameron Hendrix and added 2 more runs in the top of the 2nd on doubles by Victor Zecca and Houston Isom. Desean Anderson and Ben Fultz added singles in the same inning.

Proehlific Power came back in the bottom of the 2nd and tied the score on singles by Craig Erskine, Jonathan Wells and a sacrifice by Scott Wells. Proehlific added one more run in the bottom of the 3rd on base hits by Andrew Parker and Austin Brice. High Point
rallied in the top of the 4th scoring 4 runs on hits by Zecca, Isom, Anderson, Fultz and Hudgens.

Proehlific came back in the bottom of the 7th to score 5 runs with hits from D.J. Russ, Austin Brice, Jonathan Wells, Scott Wells, Markel and a sacrifice fly off the bat of Heath Causey.

The winning pitcher was Brent Moore and the losing pitcher was Houston Harrington.
David Francis started for the Power and went 6 innings striking out 8. Austin Brice closed for the Power striking out all 3 batters in the ninth….

The Power’s record is 2-0 and their next home game is Friday night at Northern Guilford against Thomasville American Legion. Game time is 7:00.

  1. The Hi-Toms versus Proehlific Power was a great game. There were probably 10 D1 players on the field between the 2 teams. Both teams are strong and I can see the Hi-Toms being a contender for their Aerican Legion league. Proehlific has a better team than they had last year due to their pitching depth. Their pitchers include David Francis who has offers from D1 schools, Robbie McIntosh (UNC-A), Justin Hunt (UNC-A), Brent Moore (A&T), Tuc Fisher (UNC-W), Austin Brice (Jr. Coll in Florida). Look for some good ball from these 2 teams this sumer.

  2. Power should win most of their games. They are fielding several college guys.
