It all gets running today(Thursday) and this is the East Zone qualifier for the NCAA Track and Field Championships and every team in the Nation easf of the Mississippi must come to Greensboro to qualify for the NCAA Finals…

You see buses all over town carrying the Track and Field athletes and I have seen runners running all over the downtown Greensboro area, all the way over toward South Elm-Eugene and onto MLK Blvd and all over the city, the long-distance runners are getting warmed up for the 5,000 and 10,000 meter races….

I spoke to Kim Strable with the Greensboro Sports Commission last night and he told me that this is the BIG ONE…This is the meet that your grandma had a heart attack thinking about back in the 80’s, when she was in her 80’s….

This is the BIG ONE as far as Track and Field goes and I saw an old van with Akron on it carrying a load of Akron Zips runners down Summit Avenue back on Wednesday afternoon…..

This is THE BIG ONE for NCAA Track and Field east of the Mississippi….There’s gonna be thousands of people in town and this will give our economy a good shot in the arm along with the Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Tournament….

Preliminary Rounds: (2) May 27-29, 2010
