Brandon Drumgoole(Ragsdale HS) headed to the UFL

Brandon Drumgoole(Ragsdale High School), a member of the 2009 Greensboro College football team, was drafted by the Hartford Colonials of the United Football League.

Drumgoole was the 44th pick and taken in the ninth round of Wednesday’s draft. He is one of just two NCAA DIII player selected in the draft. Drumgoole is also the first Pride football player to be selected in any football draft.

A defensive lineman, Drumgoole led the team with 16 tackles for losses and six sacks.He was picked to the USA South second team and later played in the inaugural D3 Senior Classic All Star game last December.

Prior to arriving at GC, the 6-6, 260-pound student-athlete attended Wake Forest and Western Carolina Universities.
