Update on Proehlific Power 17 and Under squad

Proehlific Power 17 and Under:

The Proehlific 17 and under competed in the Heat Showcase Baseball Tourney
Memorial Weekend and went 1-1. They lost Game 1 to CBC Prospects 9-8 and
beat Charlotte Mega Stars 6-3. Game 1 Austin Hardin pitched 7 innings and
then he was relieved by Grant Gillespie and AJ Williams. Markel Johnson
(Westchester) and Andrew Strubinger (Northern) led the way for the Power at
the plate.

Game 2: The Power beat Charlotte Megastars 6-3. Keaton Haack was the
winning pitcher and David Anderson got the save. Markel Johnson
(Westchester) had a key triple in the 7th to put the Power out front and
also added some insurance. They were rained out on Monday and finished the
weekend 1-1

Thursday nigh the Power !7 and under beat the North Chatham Tarheels 16-11.
The Power scored two in the top of the first then North Chatham answered
with 8 themselves. A massive home run by Josh Philips (2 run homer).

After 2 innings North Chatham was up 10-2. But the Power did not lay down.
In the 3rd the Power scored 2 and got the game to 10-4. Chatham answered
with one in the 3rd to make scores 11-4. After that it was all Power. They
got the bats going and exploded to outscore Chatham 12-0 to win in 9
innings. Terrance Hearst (Westchester) hit a line hot 2-run homer in the
5th. In the 7th David Anderson hit a bases loaded triple to put the Power
down 11-10. Then they scored on a wild pitch to take game to extra innings. AJ
Williams had a 2 out hit to put Power up 1 in the Top of 9th. Then Keaton
Haack (Northwest) Logan Gunn (High Point Christian) and Tripp Dunn (
Northern) got 3 hits back to back to push the lead to 16-11. After the 3rd
Inning: Grant Gillespie (Caldwell), David Anderson (Wesleyan), Keaton Haack
(Northwest), and Austin Hardin (Northern) threw scoresless innings. The
Power 17 and under are back in action Saturday at 4:00 at Northern Guilford!

The Power is now 2-1…..
