There are some games to keep an eye or two on, and we dropped back and punted you the Elon at Duke game, for September 4 yesterday and there are plenty more where that one came from and it came off of the ACC pocket schedule, from our ACC partners at theacc.com….

Duke and Elon on Sept. 4 and then the Blue Devils follow that up with a visit to Wake Forest on Sept. 11 and then guess who comes calling to Wallace Wade Stadium on Sept 18??????? The Alabama Crimson Tide from the SEC and if you have Duke season tickets for football, you may be able to sell those single-game Alabama tickets and buy yourself a new car……The Alabama fans are going to storm the state and the Triangle in particular and we may not see anything to compare, to the demand for these tickets, for many years to come…….

Virginia Tech versus Boise State at Landover, Maryland on Sept. 4 should raise a few eyebrows and we’ll get the chance to see where the Hokies are lining up (OL) Michael Via(Northeast Guilford HS), this season…..

The North Carolina Tar Heels meeting LSU in the Georgia Dome on Sept. 4 should also be a good indicator of how much damage the Heels will be able to do this season and if they upset LSU, the Heels should crack the Top 10 in Week Two of the early season……

Florida State at Oklahoma, Miami at Ohio State and Virginia visiting Southern Cal, in Week Two on Sept. 11, will tell us which of our ACC football teams are real and which ones are really out of touch, with the big-time college football powers, early in the 2010 season…..

Just a taste of what’s in store and we will have more, as the Summer makes way for Fall Football in just about 10 weeks…..
