Long-time East Surry High School and Surry County Legion coach Barry Hall told the Mount Airy News, that the Senior Legion baseball that his guys are seeing this summer, is some of the best he’s ever seen and Desean Anderson from Ragsdale HS is one of the best players he’s ever seen…..

from Mount Airy News.com:

Barry Hall said any win in the western American Legion division is a solid win, but did add he would like to see more people come out and support the area’s top baseball talent and to see “good baseball.”

“They (Kernersville) are a good ball club and that’s what we are seeing now,” Hall said. “When we played High Point, we saw a kid(Desean Anderson/Ragsdale HS) who is headed to South Carolina and got drafted over the weekend, and he hit it over the right field light pole. I’ve been here a long time and I have never seen anyone hit it over the right field light pole. People in Surry County are missing out on some good baseball and seeing what it takes to be a D-1 player.”

*****Barry Hall has been coaching in Surry County for over 40 years…..*****
