Moore in the mix as Panthers continue OTA’s and now we know what that means!!!!!

OTA’s……I have been seeing that term everywhere and I never could figure out what that means….The radio shows, like PrimeTime with the Packman and FOX Sports Radio on the weekends, always talk about the NFL teams in the OTA’s…….And now, as of today, June 16, 2010; I know what OTA’s are…..

ORGANIZED TEAM ACTIVITIES…Why the big secret?????

Why didn’t anyone ever tell us what this meant or take time to clarify this new football term?

The OTA’s, or what in reality, is another form of a mini-camp, are in progress. They are under way and for a former Wake Forest Demon Deacon and a former Matthews Butler Bulldogs baller, Kenny Moore, the OTA’S seem to be going his way and he is spending his day, trying to pay his dues so he can get full-time, playing time, this season for the Carolina Panthers……

OTA’s, I bet most of you didn’t know what those were either, you just were afraid to speak up…..

I saved the day and the OTA is coming you way…..

Here is the word on the Panthers’ Kenny Moore and the OTA’s(Organized Team Acitvities) will elude us no longer…..

Kenny Moore:

It’s a steamy day, and the intense early afternoon sun is beating down on the Panthers practice field.

This is not a pleasant place at the moment. Even breeze feels like it’s coming from a furnace. And after finishing Monday’s practice, most Panthers understandably scurry to the locker room.

But not Kenneth Moore. He still has work to do.

The backup receiver hangs around to catch more balls, run more routes and sprint more down-and-backs. It’s the same type of overtime work he’s put in since the end of last season.

“His extra effort is really starting to show here in these OTAs (organized team activities),” first-year receivers coach Tyke Tolbert said. “… He’s becoming more reliable running his routes. He’s really conscious of his technique, and he’s taking coaching pretty good.”

Moore, who starred at Butler High, stayed home for most of the offseason. He said his goal was to build on his 2009 season – his first with the Panthers – that yielded six receptions for 59 yards in 12 games.
