New Yorker Colin Leshinger to play men’s soccer at Greensboro College

Colin Leshinger, a 5-9 152, pound forward from Bayport, N.Y. has committed to play men’s soccer at Greensboro College announced Head Coach Giovanni Vlahos.

Leshiger played for the Bayport Predators Soccer Club and Bayport-Bluepoint High School. He was a four year starter in high school and led the team to the Long Island Championship game in 2008. Colin is the son of Craig and Belinda Leshinger.

“We are looking for Colin to be a work horse for us next year,” Vlahos said. “He’s an extremely talented player who we can slip into virtually any position. He’s extremely comfortable on the ball and will hopefully be that natural goal-scorer that every team needs.”

Greensboro College is primarily an undergraduate college, also offering four master’s degrees. Coeducational
and independent, the institution is located near downtown Greensboro. It was founded in 1838 and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church.

The college enrolls about 1,260 students from about 30 states, the District of Columbia and 21 nations. The school features a strong liberal-arts program and a 16-sport athletic program.
