Junior Legion Baseball on Thursday evening at SEG’s Falcon Field:

Southeast Guilford 7
Graham Post 63 Black 0

WP:DJ Flinchum
LP:Dillon Brown
SEG-7-9-3
Post 63-0-2-3

Stong effort by the SEG starting pitcher DJ Flinchum, who tossed a seven-inning, complete-game shutout and he gave his own cause a boost, with a two-out, two-run triple at the plate…..Flinchum only allowed two hits and walked two, while fanning 11 Post 63 batters….

The outing by Flinchum follows the start earlier in the week, by Craig Jacobelli, when he struck out 14 at Thomasville, back on Tuesday….

Also at the plate for the SEG Junior Legion Falcons:
Brent Frazier was 2-4 with an RBI triple…
Taylor Callahan had a triple and drove in one run…
Tim Amick had a double and an RBI…..
Craig Jacobelli had a single…
Will Greene had a single…
Cody Ezzel had a single…
Devin Sweet had a single….

SEG will be at home again tonight at 7pm, at Falcon Field, where they will face the big rival, Asheboro…..

Radio airtime for this game will be 6:45 on AM950…..

Can someone tell us how DJ.Flinchum fell below the radar and did not get time on the mound during the varsity season?

  • Chris said,

Great job DJ! Dominating on the mound and doing the job at the plate!

With Schutt, Newton, Jacobelli, Flinchum and Greene available on the mound…

Whew! Gotta like those odds for the Falcons.
