A spokesperson at N.C. State confirmed reports Monday that star quarterback Russell Wilson has signed with the Colorado Rockies.
Financial details were not disclosed.
Colorado selected the 2008 Atlantic Coast Conference football rookie of the year in the fourth round of the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft. He is projected to play second base or in the outfield.
Wilson said he’s looking forward to getting his baseball career started, but also plans on coming back and playing football in the fall for the Wolfpack.
