SEG Junior Legion team on the road tonight at Trinity

The word we got from Charlie P., was that the SEG Junior Legion team was up 12-3, behind the work of DJ Flinchum on the hill, last night at Glenn High School, where they faced the always wirey Kernersville squad……

If Southeast Guilford went on to win that game last night at Glenn, then they are now (5-1), over their last six games and will try and make it five wins in-a-row, as they face Oak View BC out of High Point, at 6pm tonight over at Trinity HS…..

  1. Coach Beasley does a great job of managing his subs. He let some players in who have not had much playing time and the EF team fought back to within 2 runs in the last inning (final score 10-12).

It is encouraging to see a coach who is not afraid to let his subs in even when the game is not put away. With such a large, talented team it is a challenge to get everyone playing time but Dave does his best. It is always good to get your guys real playing time in sometimes tight games to get them the experience they will need next year. Whether we make the playoffs or not I think it is wise to get ALL your players the most experience they can get.

Acutally last night and at several other games it has paid off or at least not hurt him to get his subs in with 3 or 4 innings to play. This has allowed him to discover some young talent and to build up some player’s confidence who might not have gotten a chance to shine in school ball this year.

  2. I think Charlie is feeding those boys from SE some of that Neeses Sausage from Bucks they are playing well.

  3. Dallas Newton pitched another great game last night and the Falcons get the win. I know Dallas already had 14 strikeouts going in to the 7th inning!

  4. Behind 15 strikeouts by Dallas Newton SEG wins at Trinity despite many errors in the field. Craig Jacobelli’s bat was red hot. Not sure of the final score but it ended not very close.

  5. I think it ended 10-5 and I doubt any of the 5 were earned runs. Dallas had complete command from inning #1 and finished the 7th just as STRONG!

Tonight at home vs ER 7pm
