  1. was at the game against Surry County last night. High Point really put on a clinic hitting the ball. SEVEN home runs.

Kevin Sanders was 3-3 with 10 RBIs. All three hits were home runs, including two grand slams in the fifth and sixth innings. Mike Whited hit two HRs (he now has eight this legion season). He was 4-6 with the 2 HRs, a DB and 5 RBIs. David Coffey was 2-4 with a solo HR and Brock Hudgens was 3-4 with a 3 run HR in the first inning. DeSean Anderson didn’t hit any homers but his was 4-5 with a walk, four RBIs and five runs scored.

Pretty cool watching the all Ragsdale infield out there too. Ben Fultz at first, Anderson at second, Whited at SS and Coffey on third. Coffey is pitching like he never took a year off from organized ball. Hudgens and Scarborough pitching well too. Hope these guys make a run to the state tourney this year. They have another big game tonight at Finch Field against Randolph County. First place will be on the line and it probably will be again on saturday when they play @ Burlington.

  2. Interesting note about Desean and the infield….I was talking to someone this week and they said second base might be the spot for him in the pros……

  3. with his speed and athletic ability he seems like a natural for center field but who knows where he ends up once he gets to USC or pro ball

  4. hate to pop your bubble, this was a warm up game for PP, before Omaha, brought kids from both the 17 and the 19 everyone played and got a few cuts, only threw older kids in two or three innings, all ready beat the Hitoms earlier in the year. Played 22 players to get ready for this week. Got on the plane the next day.
