Colt Baseball from Monday night at WMS

Monday night at War Memorial Stadium:

Northeast Guilford 9
Dudley 8

WP:Jaylin Davis
LP:Corey Kimber
*****Dudley led 7-0 in this game and then the Panthers ended up committing 5 errors and NEG took advantage and snagged the win in the bottom of the sixth inning with the time limit taking effect.*****(Would hope one of the NEG fans would send us the name of the winning Ram pitcher.)

Jamestown(Ragsdale) 13
Southern Guilford 1

*****Jamestown(Ragsdale) was up 12-0 after a half-inning and then we had two lightning delays and the game closed after 4 and a-half innings….Southern was in the game after the first inning and with their pitching change SG was able to compete straight up…..*****

  1. Southern Guilford only had 3 hits all night against Jamestown pitcher. I guess you could call that competing.

  2. I was talking more in terms of the Southern Guilford pitching which settled down after they made their pitching change and then only allowed one more run the rest of the way…

I think it was already 12-0 when the new pitcher took over….Ragsdale was not trying to run it up, but they still had many of their first-tier players in the lineup when the second Southern pitcher went to work and I believe he went the rest of the way for the Storm….
