It’s Valentine’s Day in the summer at Greensboro College

Brandon Valentine has committed to play baseball at Greensboro College, announced Pride Head Coach Matt Aker.

Valentine is a catcher from Chesapeake, Va. and attended Bishop Sullivan High School. He played four years of baseball for coach Guy Hyatt and was a second team all conference pick in 2009.

Valentine also played American Legion ball for Post 113 and Post 310. He is the son of Jeff and Donna Valentine. He joins three previous Pirde baseball commits: Jack Bishop, Tyler Beebe and Tyler Beeby and Jonathan Krecicki

Greensboro College is primarily an undergraduate college, also offering four master’s degrees. Coeducational and independent, the institution is located near downtown Greensboro. It was founded in 1838 and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church.

The college enrolls about 1,260 students from about 30 states, the District of Columbia and 21 nations. The school features a strong liberal-arts program and a 16-sport athletic program.
