Bad news for Ricky Steamboat

from Jason Powell at www.prowrestling.net:

WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Steamboat remains hospitalized in Tampa after suffering a brain aneurysm on Wednesday night, according to Dave Meltzer of WrestlingObserver.com. His condition has been upgraded to stable.

Jason Powell’s POV: That’s a lot more serious than the WWE website report seemed to suggest earlier Thursday when they said he went to the hospital with neck and shoulder pain. WWE has been quick to point out that his condition is likely unrelated to the “stunt” that he performed with The Nexus during Monday’s WWE Raw.

Jim Ross on hospitalized WWE legend Ricky Steamboat: “No new news on the health status of Ricky Steamboat as of Friday midday. He’s still hospitalized and, as I understand it, is in stable condition and in good, medical hands. A prayer never hurts in this situation. I seriously doubt that any thing wrestling related had any thing to do with Rick’s aneurysm. The Dragon actually wrestled without incident in a tag match down in Florida recently and is one of the veterans who takes pride in staying in shape with regular workouts.”
