GBC Prepstars run comes to end at World Wood Bat Championships

GBC Prepstars run came to an end tonite(Sunday) at the World Wood Bat Championship,
finishing 9th in the field of 192 teams from all over the country.

After playing a near perfect game at 2 pm to knock off tourney favorite East Cobb
Yankees, GBC played their worst game of the tourney tonite to get eliminated by the
Orlando Scorpions 11-7.

Highlights for the day included Brocks Hudgens outdueling the #1 2011 prospect in
the nation at 2 pm as GBC eliminated East Cobb 3-0 in front of 25+ scouts.

All GBC Teams will be in action next weekend at the Pastime Tournament in Winston,
then all three teams head to Old Dominion University to finish the regular schedule.
Two more all star events as the GBC Prepstars 17u All Star team will play in the
Impact World Series at UNC 7/22-7/25, and the Canes World Series at ECU 7/30 – 8/1.
The 16u All Star Team will also be in action at the Canes World Series.
