NCBA falls in pool play at World Wood Bat 17u Championships

The Golden Spikes, from the North Carolina Baseball Academy, lost 5-4 to a team from Indiana, in the third round of the World Wood Bat 17u Championships at East Cobb, Georgia….

The errors in the field hurt the Spikes and their bats were aimed right toward the team from Indiana. It was just one of those days, in a game that got under way, at 9am this morning….

The NCBA squad is now (2-1) in pool play. They play a New York team tomorrow(Friday) at 9 am and then Southern California Elite on Saturday, again at 9am, at the East Cobb Complex.

The total number of teams in the tourney is 220, from around the globe. Very impressive, and they are all 17U, working hard to fullfill the dream of winning the World Wood Bat Championship……
