The 11 & Under North Carolina Gaters split their opening two games of pool play at the AAU Nationals in Cocoa Beach, Florida. In the morning game, the Gaters fought back but lost an overtime game to the Connecticut Elite by the score of 41-37. The Gaters were led by J. P. Moorman with 10 points, John Newman with 8 points and Kameron Langley with 7 points. In the evening game, the Gaters defeated the Alabama Cougars by the score of 50-47. Tyeren Melton led the way with 20 points, including 10 in the final quarter. Jeremiah Praylor had 12 points and Kameron Langley had 8 points and 5 assists. The Gaters continue in pool play tomorrow at 5:00 PM against the Indiana Elite Playmakers.
