Duke Sports to remain on 98.3FM this fall

The plan is keep Duke University football on 98.3FM this fall, even though the radio station has switched to an all-Hispanic format known as, “La Raza”….

I spoke with two very reliable sources today at ISP(International Sports Properties) and they both told me, that Duke plans to remain on 98.3 this fall and this was all part of a contract fullfillment on the part of 98.3…..

Here is the note that I recevied earlier this afternoon from International Sports Properties(ISP):

Andy,
As far as we know, 98.3 is still going to be carrying Duke broadcasts.
However, I believe we are working on a solution so as not to interrupt
their Hispanic format with 6-8 hours of English language sports.

I was involved with both phone call and E-mail transmission today with ISP and I want to thank their associates for their swift and detailed cooperation…….

  1. My man Andy. That’s what I call customer service. It’s been awesome to have Bob Harris and Duke on a strong FM station the last few years. Glad to see it continue, particularly since, as Ed Hardin put it today on 1320, Greensboro has become a Duke Basketball town, and Coach Cutcliffe has brought new hope and high standards to the football program.

It’s time for you to get a show back on the radio, Andy. I think that every time I hear Wade Keller yell “Bruce! Bruce!” on the daily Torch show at blogtalkradio.com. Until then it’s cool to hear you call the Grasshoppers games on 950 AM.
