How the conferences(Mid-Piedmont) are shaping up

The line of thinking on how the Mid-Piedmont 3-A Conference will look from NCPreps.com:

1)Northeast Guilford
2)North Forsyth
3)Asheboro
4)Southern Guilford
5)Ledford
6)Southwestern Randolph

Our look at the Mid-Piedmont:

*****Coach Tommy Pursley has some swift and speedy backs with Johnny King at 5’4/135 and NEG also has the McCann twins in Jacob and Caleb and these two guys are the real deal….Very strong and tough runners to compliment King’s speed and NEG has a huge offensive line and all the backs need is 1.5 seconds, to get through that interior-line area and they are gone….When the Rams go outside, it is usually over, after the first 5-7 yards and then it is off to Hicone Road Shopping Center…..(Going way outside and on down the road.)

I would like to see Coach Brown at Southern do well….He has a trackman in Xavier Jones at RB and on all returns, so speed is a weapon and Austen Thompson returns for another year in the Storm’ secondary and AT has exp.(Experience)…..

I played against Coach Darryl Brown’s grandad, CK Siler, back in the day and I played for Chuck Henderson’s dad Doug, but I still want to see the Guilford County team succeed with Brown(at Southern Guilford) over Henderson(at Asheboro)……

  1. X. Jones is not playing football at SG this year — he is focusing on track. Would have been a great addition. — Only five football coaches at SG this year–almost unheard of these days.
All five are pretty good so don’t sell SG short–I played for three of them personally and they will have the Storm ready to go.
