Matthews Butler did OK, without All-American quarterback Christian LeMay on Friday night, as the Bulldogs traveled to Winston-Salem and topped Mount Tabor, 27-14, with sophomore QB at the helm for Butler…..

Butler beats the Mt. Tabor Spartans and the Mallard Creek Mavericks whipped Charlotte Independence 26-6, in our look at the top Mecklenburg County, teams that our GCS guys could be facing later on this season….

Butler’s Bulldogs found out Friday what life is going to be like this season – the year after they won the N.C. 4AA high school football championship.

The Bulldogs, playing their season opener without their All-American quarterback but still featuring a big-play offense and solid defense, put away stubborn Winston-Salem Mount Tabor 27-14.
