  1. Hey Andy…we’re looking forward to going up to Lynchburg Friday for the soccer match with Guilford College. Should be an interesting match. Our Randolph Wildcats are a young team but have been holding their own…we upset #1 preseason favorite, Hampden Sydney, this past Saturday by a 2-1 score. This weekend is Family Weekend at Randolph so hopefully the boys will be a little pumped up for this important ODAC match.

As I’ve writeen to you before, Randolph has former Grimsley goalie, Carter Smith, on the team. His playing time has been limited this year due to a re-ocurring injury with his knee that he sustained last fall with the Whirlies. The good news is the doctors just cleared him so hopefully he’ll see some action soon. Will keep you posted.

  2. Nothing like a Friday afternoon or weekend up on Rivermont Drive in Lynchburg….Nice town with a great fall feel……Watch for Guiford’s “Go-to-guy Freddie Gomez, he can score in a hurry….

If you get chance stop in at the Texas Inn Chili for a late-night snack…..I am just assuming it is still there down on the edge of the river bed right at the end of Rivermont when you come into the downtown…..Texas Inn Chili, not a bad stop at all….

Enjoy the weekend and Good Luck to both soccer teams….Maybe TV 13 WSET will be there to get you guys some coverage and the Daily News/Advance newspaper should be close behind…..
