The Greensboro College golf team sits atop the NCAA Division III rankings, according to Golfstat.com. Additionally, senior Brock Elder (Greensboro, NC/Vandalia Christian) is the top-rated individual in the division.
This is the first ranking of the 2010-11 year. GC is listed as 200-0 against DIII competition. New ratings will be posted each Wednesday.
Greensboro won the recent Golfweek D3 Invitational. GC’s 858 (282-288-288) was 10 strokes better than second-place Huntingdon. Most of the nation’s top DIII teams were in the field.
Elder finished with a minus-seven 209 tally at Golfweek. Among all divisions (NCAA I, II and III), Elder is rated 36th in the nation.
