BLACKBEARD’SCHALLENGE: Greenville, NC and East Carolina University, in conjunction with Guinness World Recordsâ„¢, are planning to break the current world record for Largest Gathering of Costumed Pirates. The event is scheduled for November 6th, 2010 at Clark LeClair Stadium on the campus of East Carolina University.
Any and all Pirates are invited to participate.You do not need to be associated with
East Carolina University to …help break the record. We hope all Prates will
participate in this record breakingevent. The record now stands at 6,166 and is held by Hasting of the United Kingdom.
This event will take place at Clark LeClair Stadiumat 12:30 before the 3:30 Navy
game, so bring your children! Our own ECU REAL Pirate will be the “Pirate of
Ceremony”.
