“There are a lot of things that are alleged, that are out there, that I can’t begin to tell you if they are true or not true,” head football coach Butch Davis said Monday.

Reports by Yahoo! Sports last week linked Blake and Wichard financially, through wire transfers and credit cards. Reports also showed hotel receipts from UNC defensive tackle Marvin Austin under the name of Wichard’s agency, Pro Tect Management.

“When it became apparent to us that there was an inappropriate relationship between Coach Blake and Wichard, we immediately began to distance ourselves from Blake,” Davis said.

  1. like Steve Spurrier said, everybody knows who and what john blake does, Butch knew who he was bringing into program. it’s time for carolina fans to wake up. look what butch has done to your team and your school. run him out of there.

  2. Steve Spurrier is an arrogant blowhard. Did John Blake come to UNC with a tarnished reputation? Well, the University of Tulsa hired him. Oklahoma hired him. TWICE!! Mississippi State hired him. Nebraska hired him. Are you going to try to tell me that it was common knowledge that Blake was shady and yet all those schools hired him anyway?
