  1. They must be raising a boatload of cash to be able to play that schedule. Miami,Atlanta, Springfield,Richmond and Trenton are some nice trips. There are a lot of colleges that don’t travel like this. They will be exposed to some of the best teams in the US.

  2. hey traci how good is the team this year, i didnt think orma had the size to play some of these teams nor the talentt?

  3. Wondering, you know how good these kids are! I have seen several post where you are asking questions and receiving answers about the kids and the team. Stop trippin’. The coaches there are providing opportunities, experiences and memories for these kids. Let them enjoy and support them. Don’t like the coach, so what support the kids and stop hating!

  4. to what shutup if you see or know what i post its never nothing negative, and i was asking the traci lady that question cause my friend say they really didnt have all that much height cause he goes there so i wanted to know how they gonna bang inside with some of the bigger teams, dont worry about me worry about yourself stay in your own place. and I have great respect for the coach for your information

  5. Wondering, I didn’t say you posted negative comments. You have asked about the team and the kind of players they have in the past. Your friend obviously don’t know much about basketball and neither do you. How much height do you need Wondering? Mike posted the heights for you. Your friend is looking for 7 footers I guess. Go to games, camps, tourneys and educate yourself on the players in this county and stop going by what someone else tells you. If you are serious and want to know what ORMA has, go to their workouts and see for yourself. And I am in my place. I forgot more basketball than you will ever know!!!!

  6. Tom, Don’t you find it extremely interesting that most colleges team don’t travel like this? Just an investment from the program for maybe a larger return on that investment later down road. Wink! Wink! Never before I have seen a group of individuals that want to be associated with big time athletes that have not became big time yet! Go ahead proponets, say its all about providing opportunity to the kids. Awwww….you are so sweet to do that! Where is the opportunity for the kid that doesn’t have that athletic ability (or height in this case) that is fledgling away at the Title I schools in the area. All the kids are at ORMA are pawns for a bigger “pot of gold” at the end of the day. The adults involved and the ones that are so intensely seeking involvement should be ashamed. Money isn’t power, knowledge is!

  7. With all that talent at ORMA the boys should remember you can only play 5 at a time. Someone is looking for a college coaching job. wink wink

  8. It is a combination of the parents and the adults involved. You need to have somebody selling, but there has to be somebody buying. I am old school and I don’t believe in this way of doing things. I admit that I am in the minority so I may be that crazy old guy that doesn’t like change. I wish there was someone who would bring this type of enthusiasm into the Title I schools and work for academic excellence to go along with athletic excellence. That would be money well spent.

  9. Come on Gentleman. This is the way society is. There is money being poured into the school system each year. Throwing money at Title I schools will not fix the problem. Fix society’s problems first! Why shouldn’t the athletic kids have an opportunity? Why would anyone spend money on non athletic kids if the goal is to have the best team? Come on. I am sure people have agendas over there at ORMA, but everyone has a hidden agenda! Each school, every coach, scout etc… The old way of doing things are gone. If you don’t like it too bad.

  10. What is an angry person. The athletic kids do have opportunities and there is nothing wrong with that. Why should anyone spend money on non-athletic kids? What kind of question is that? The primary goal is to educate the kids. One of the goals is to have good teams, but it certainly shouldn’t be the main goal. That kind of thinking has caused a lot of the problems we see in the school system.

  11. Tom, my statement is about not spending money on non-athletic teams is legit if you are talking about a basketball team. I think it is obvious that educating kids is #1. I am responding to the athletic side. There are bigger problems in the school system than athletics. If I sound angry, that is okay. Life isn’t all smiles. I am passionate about having athletics in schools b/c I know if it wasn’t for athletics, many kids would have a hard time making it a priority. As a former athlete who used basketball to get a free education and someone who understands what most of these gifted basketball players are going through, it bothers me to read post from people who don’t have a clue to what these young kids are going through. You can call me angry Tom, but the people that know me and been through something call it being “Real”.

  12. I also used basketball to get a free education. I know what these players are going through. I don’t what I would have done if I didn’t have basketball to occupy my time. I also had parents that made sure that education was the top priority. I had many more opportunities presented to me because I had good grades in high school. As you know, we are only one major injury away from having the athletic side ripped away from us. The academic side can never be taken away.
Athletics are important and I would never say that we shouldn’t spend money in that area. It would be nice to see us spend the same amount of energy we spend on their athletic development as we do on their academic development.

  13. these boys gonna get RAN playing a lenthy schedule like that, they must be running there program like a high major or something
