  2. What is your reasoning HS Football for putting Southern in front of SEG. To be the man…you have to beat the man and we beat Southern like a red headed step child.

  3. At Shane’s Rib Shack we will have Matt Pawlowski and Matt Sugg from Northwest Guilford, along with Robert Pompey and Pete Romer from Ragsdale…..

Also with us will be former NWG football coach Charlie Groves, the man who coached Rusty Larue in high school…..Plus Mike Green, BJ Green, possibly Lee Reavis and many others……

  4. The poll is pettty much based this week on records and who beat who, and that has been the theme for the most part all season long…..

The NEG at SG, Dudley at SEG, Ragsdale at NWG and the Smith at Page games are going to have a ton of bearing on next week’s poll…..This is the biggest one-week matchup session we have seen all season long…..

  5. True…..But SE was blanked by SW Guilford and lost to Grimsley that is the reason I have Southern ahead right now. Southern lost a close one to a really good one loss Ragsdale team and SEG.

  6. The SG-SEG matchups have been good ones/hot ones for many years now….SEG got the best of the Storm this year and that should give SEG a slight edge in the poll, but one thing is for certain….

I hope they keep that SEG-Southern series going in football for many years to come and I for one, would like to see SEG and Ragsdale get together again in football….Maybe the conference changes have killed this hookup, but boy, Ragsdale-SEG was as good as it gets there for a few years….

Ragsdale and NWG need to be in the same conference with Page, Grimsley, Smith, Dudley, SEG and Western Guilford and Southern Alamance needs to head East….Northeast Guilford needs to be in the same conference with Northern, Eastern, Rockingham County, Morehead, McMichael, and keep Southern Guilford in there too….Burlington Williams, Western Alamance and Eastern Alamance head East…..

  7. Hey Sefan,,,just have to go with the flow with polls. Have to be based on record..Dudley is at 5 when they beat both Ragsdale and Northern..

it’s good to see an all round year in football, when you just don’t know who may rise to top…

  8. Ebron to North Carolina……Demari Boswell to the Naval Academy and Sims, we ought to know, but we need to know?????

Also what about guys like Duke McCoy, Elijah Jordan, and Quinton Able???

There is some talent on this squad and the real question for right now is where will Sims be seen next fall, where will he play ball?

(And don’t sleep on the Smith offensive line….If you are a college coach, you need to check out those Golden Eagles too…..)

  9. Jeff Sims was a late bloomer, he started his first game against Page last year when the starting QB Codie Davis was sick. He started but split time with Myles Morris until the 2nd half when Sims caught fire and has been the man ever since. He started 5 games last year and threw for 798 yard and 7 TD’s. This year however sims has thrown for 1438 yards with 17 TD’s against 5 int’s. He’s completing 52% of his passes which is outstanding.

He’s been reqruited by: ECU, Fayetteville State(offered Full Scholarship), Austin Peay in Maryland, Morgan State he is drawing interest from A&T, WSSU, NCCU…
