  1. How can you pair conference opponents against each other 1st round? The game I am talking about is Rockingham County/Eastern Alamance! Thats awful, I know NCHSAA is trying to geographically make it easier for travel but thats horrible. Whatever happened to finding stuff out about opponents that you know nothing about? I could see a 2nd round matchup but 1st round, come on! Williams(4-6)/Eastern Alamance(8-2) and then NE Guilford(7-3)/Rockingham(5-5) makes more geographical sense also. And they are from different conferences! I also think I saw in 4-A Glenn/Ragsdale, I mean wouldn’t exactly be excited if I were Ragsdale however I think Ragsdale is better, but Glenn has seen them already this year and has an idea of what to expect.

  2. I agree with the poster above it makes no sense air up teams who have already faced each other. And while some teams are just traveling across town still others are traveling the usual 1-2 hrs away. The so called POD may have worked out for some for the most part it sucks.

  3. Baller 1 you are right, I for some reason was thinking that Williams was in that league with NE Guilford. I know the reasoning is eliminating travel costs but come on they are letting so many teams in the playoffs now that how can you not find a geographically legitimate team thats close from another league. I tend to believe the old system from the 90’s worked just fine. You knew from the start of the season who you lined up against come postseason time. And it wasn’t a team from your own league.
