Guilford College bringing former President Bill Clinton to the Greensboro Coliseum Nov. 30

Guilford College versus Greensboro College tomorrow night, in men’s and women’s basketball at the Greensboro Coliseum, but later on this month, Guilford College will play host to our former president, when William J.(Bill) Clinton comes to town…..

President Bill Clinton will deliver a Bryan Series talk entitled “Embracing Our Common Humanity” Tuesday, Nov. 30, at 6:30 p.m. in the Greensboro Coliseum arena.

He is the first former U.S. President to speak in the series and the fourth former head of state, following Oscar Arias of Costa Rica (2002), Mikhail Gorbachev of the former Soviet Union (2004) and Mary Robinson of Ireland (2006).

President Clinton was elected in 1992 and again in 1996—the first Democratic president to be awarded a second term in six decades.

In his post-presidency, he started the William J. Clinton Foundation, one of the fastest-growing NGOs in the world. The Foundation has many initiatives including the Clinton Health Access Initiatives, which has provided medicines to two million people living with HIV/AIDS around the world.

The Clinton Global Initiative is tackling some of the world’s most pressing problems. To date, the world leaders who are CGI members have made 1,700 commitments valued at $57 billion, which have already impacted more than 220 million lives in 170 countries.

40 cities are working with the Clinton Climate Initiative to reduce their carbon footprint and make a significant impact in the fight against global climate change.

More information about the Clinton Foundation is available.

A limited number of tickets are available for lower- and upper-level arena seating with tiered pricing. Student tickets are half price. Tickets are available at the Greensboro Coliseum Advance Box Office, online at Ticketmaster.com and by calling 1-800-745-3000.
