Coach Julie Goodenough, on the Charleston Southern Buccaneers 96-63 win over Voorhees(sorry Jason) and the coach’s thoughts about her standout players, including former Dudley Panther Helen Terry…..

Two players stood out with career nights. Talk about Katie Tull and Helen Terry(Dudley HS).

Absolutely. Helen’s statline is really impressive. 23 points 6 assists and 6 steals in 16 minutes, that’s pretty efficient. She did a really good job beating the press with the dribble drive and it gave her a lot of open layups. Some of her assists were to Katie in transition. Helen had a really great game.

I was really excited for Katie to hit her three point shots, she works really hard on her shots on her own and hasn’t shot really well in our first two games but tonight she was really in the flow.

We need to practice some of the deficiencies that these games have revealed to us. We have a tough game coming up against UNC Greensboro so we have got to fix some of the defensive weaknesses we have right now.
