Greensboro College hoops slips up at Emory and Henry, but Luqman Tijani(Page HS) pumps in 10 to help pace Pride

Emory, Va. — Daren Dexter (Sarasota, FL/Riverview) had 18 points and 10 rebounds, but Greensboro College (1-1) lost at Emory & Henry, 65-62, on Wednesday night. Terrance Grigg had a game-high 27 points to lead E&H (1-0).

T.J. Holman (Raleigh, NC/Wake Forest Rolesville) had 16 points and Luqman Tijani (Greensboro, NC/Page ) added 10 for GC.

The Wasps shot 53-percent (23-59) to 31-percent (22-70) for The Pride. The home team led in rebounds 43-33. GC forced 22, and committed just 12 turnovers.

EHC led at halftime, 35-33. The Pride led for much of the second half. Grigg (10-16 shooting) made a three-pointer with 8:24 left that gave the Wasps the lead for good.

The Pride plays in Marymount (Va.) Tournament this weekend.
