The Christ School Greenies’ balanced scoring attack overwhelms Westchester Country Day 98-82 in a high scoring contest.

Christ School had 5 players score at least 13 pts in the game, led
by Damarcus Harrison with 21 pts. Rob Gray scored all 16 of his points in the 2nd
half and Will Weeks added 16 pts (13 rebounds) in the paint. Marshall Plumlee (10
rebounds) scored 10 of his 16 pts in the 1st quarter. Justin Dotson hit a trio of
3-pointers and ended up with 13 pts, while TD Dixon also had 13 pts (8 assists).
Quincy Miller scored half of his 34 pts in the final quarter after the Greenies had
built up their largest lead of 24 pts at 73-49 going into the final quarter. Deuce
Bello had 22 pts, only 3 pts in the 2nd half.
Plumlee got the Greenies going with 10 pts in the 1st quarter, while Bello had 9 pts
and the teams were tied 16-16. After falling behind by 1 point early in the 2nd
quarter, the Greenies started to pull away, finishing the quarter on a 23-7 scoring
run. Christ School hit 4 shots from long range to offset the pair of early
3-pointers from Bello.
The Greenies came out strong in the 3rd with a 14-7 scoring run in the first 4:30 of
the quarter, with Rob Gray leading the way with 7 pts. A steal and lay-up by Dixon
at the buzzer to end the quarter gave the Greenies their largest lead of the game
(24 pts) at 73-49.
Quincy Miller began trading baskets with the Greenies, scoring 17 pts in the final
quarter. The Wildcats closed the game to 14 pts on a 3-pointer with 2:08 to play,
but could not get any closer as the teams continued to trade baskets and Christ
School had the 98-82 victory.
Key to the Game – the Greenies balanced scoring attack to end the 2nd quarter to
take control and then start the 3rd quarter strong to pull away from the Wildcats.
