Danielle Duncan (Greensboro, NC/Ragsdale) of Greensboro College has been named the USA South Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
A junior forward, Duncan led The Pride to a 3-0 record last week by averaging 26.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game. In an 81-57 victory over Guilford, Duncan tallied 30 points, nine rebounds, one steal and one assist. In an 88-51 win over Lynchburg, Duncan contributed 22 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals. Finally, in a 75-46 victory over Emory & Henry, Duncan scored 26 points, grabbed eight rebounds, collected one steal and dished out one assist. .
