  1. I had always heard he was….I’ll have to double-check my Charlotte contacts…I know Bobby Jones used to be the boys basketball coach at Charlotte Christian back in the early days and Greensboro’s Robert Walker was their Athletic Director…

I’ll look into it, I know Gill had a son playing basketball down there somewhere…..

  2. andy, they are originally from high point. his dad and i used to play ball together back in the day….i think they moved before he was in middle school..i dont recall him playing middle school ball here…cant remember if he would have been at hpc, ragsdale or andrews….

  3. Anthony Gill is Kendall’s son. He was at Charlotte Country Day back in the day (freshman year) and transferred to Charlotte Christian.

  4. I have Kendall Gill’s rookie card from when he was with the Charlotte Hornets and I know a lot of the Hornets had children that grew up in the Charlotte area as did the Panthers….The Curry kids were one example and then there’s RB Mike Minter Jr. with his dad now the football coach at First Assembly and Wesley Walls, the super TE from the Panthers, his son is a linebacker with a scholarship to Clemson waiting on him and the younger Walls is at one of the private schools in the Charlotte area….

Lots of connections and we need to get Kendall on here to settle this once and for all……

  5. Anthony Gill II is my son. We are originally from High Point, NC Moved to Charlotte in 2005. Yes Reggie, we played ball together back in the day and you are 100% correct. However, it was Southwest Guilford. LOL!!! Reggie, I hope Little Reggie is well.
