HPC Bison fall at Davie County

MOCKSVILLE – The High Point Central football team was painfully close to advancing to the fourth round for the first time in 10 years, but ended up so far away.

The Bison had several opportunities to take control of Friday’s game at Davie County, but could not take advantage, ending their season in a 18-15 loss in the third round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association 4A state playoffs.

“It’s just tough, because we had opportunities,” senior quarterback Drew Adams said. “We just squandered them. It wasn’t like we were playing against a team that overmatched us. We just let it slip away.”
