  1. The girls game was much better than the boys’ game. What happened to the Hairston kid? He did not look like himself. Did not look like he put any time in during the summer to get better. Northeast looked very good and quick! Hunter will have a really good year and I hope they can win it all. Eastern has a lot of work to do.

  2. Good summary. I was wondering about Brandon too….He had 26 versus NEG in game one last year and maybe it was the NEG “D” last night….

Good start for the young EG girls team.

  3. I’ve seen EG scrimmage better teams and he played absolutely fine. Didn’t look like he hadn’t put in work over summer just didn’t have a good game. Kudos to NE, cause they kept a body on him as well

Made many excellent moves just couldn’t get the ball in hole. In additon, my opinion the plays called did not appear to give him a lot of touches.

I will agree he didn’t rebound well, he also couldn’t get any call from the refs either??? Big Shots if you were there you would have to agree..

He will be fine…just a bad game…heck he played all 32 min

  4. EG Kid, I was just disappointed in what I saw. He did not have the explosiveness that he showed a year ago. He got looks, but didn’t finish and I don’t agree about the refs b/c he got to the line a lot that game. Anyway, if he is a “baller”, he will bounce back.

  5. First off…Congrats to the Ladies for a great win!

Normally I just read and do not post anything, but it is sad that if someone has an off game, people can speculate so much. I agree that Hairston did not score as most what have expected him to, but he played hard the entire game.

Oh, and correction, he did not play all 32 minutes…He actually got a break with a few seconds left in the game. I thought that was absolutley CRAZY. I don’t care how good a player is; a Coach should know how to give his player some rest.
