Just a note..not that it matters Lady Panther 3-0

  • dudley vs reynolds said,

Does Whitley Knight still play for Reynolds ? If yes, how did she do against Dudley. I have not seen her play but I have heard that she is the real deal and headed to Duke. Any observations from anyone that went to the game ?

  • Andy said,

She’s still there(Whitney Knight)…. I saw her name in the box score and I believe she had 8 for Reynolds…Used to be at Bishop right and then made the move over to WS Reynolds cause the college coaches said that she needed to face tougher competition….

We’ll get that (3-0) straight for Dudley…I was just guessing when I put that up…I remembered the 46-26 from Saturday, but need to add in the Hillside win as well and that would give the Panthers the (3-0) after the W against WS Reynolds on Monday night….

  • PANTHERS said,

Our Lady Pantherettes are waiting on Page, SE, WG, GRIMSLEY, SMITH and the scores will not even be close.

By the way ORMA you can have some too!

Are you still hoping that some of our players transfer and reclass too?

  • Curious said,

Where are the Dudley boys – I haven’t heard of any games for them???

  • truth said,

PANTHERS ORMA girls will handle dudley with NO PROBLEM

  • dudley won't play top local talent said,

Dudley has a history of not wanting to play the top local teams that could make their team look like a lesser team. Just like the boys team refuses to play GDS and the Westchester type of team – the girls would likely not play an ORMA. It would be a good game but I do not think Dudley could beat ORMA. The Dudley guards can get a little out of control at times and Dudley does not have enough down low to off set the ORMA girls. The ORMA press in the half court would create a huge issue for Dudley.

  • The Real Deal said,

OAK RIDGE GIRLS WOULD SLAP DUDLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WITH OUT QUESTION!!! NO SECOND GUESSING!!!!!! NO DOUBT!!!!! THAT WOULD NOT EVEN BE A GOOD GAME!!!!! BUT THE GAME I WANNA SEE IS THE DUDLEY VS SW GUILFORD. IN A REGULATION GAME WITH REAL REFS NOT REFS GETTING TRAINED. THAT WOULD BE THE BEST MATCH UP IN THE AREA THIS YEAR. OAK RIDGE IS JUST TO STRONG AND ITS NOT THAT THERE TALENT IS FAR SUPERIOR ITS THAT THERE DEPTH IS FAR SUPERIOR. THE PERSON ON THERE TEAM THAT GETS THE LEAST PLAYING TIME WOULD START AND PLAY ALOT OF MINUTES ON ANY TEAM IN GCS!!! NO CONTEST

  • Yes Sir said,

@ The Real Deal….Great observation about ORMA. And yes the game that we all want to see would be DUDLEY VS SW GUILFORD..

  • To all Panther haters said,

Our Girls do not carry themselves the way “Panther” posted!! We don’t talk we play!

So Panther don’t speak for us we let our game speak for itsself!

First of all Panther girls do not run from competition we run to it. It’s how you end not how you begin and if you don’t know look at the record over the past 6-7 years!

Secondly HEAR YE HEAR YE all the ORMA PEOPLE!!! DUDLEY and NO OTHER GUILFORD COUNTY SCHOOL WILL PLAY YOU..WHY?? Read between lines dummies. It’s not up to the schools!! Get it or do you need it spelled out! So stop posting that mess cause it’s not happening anyway…

WIN or LOSE we neva scared. YORMA should smack every local team they ever play…dummies…. they got all Major D1 Talent! So to lose to a great team is not a loss..Get it or do you need that spelled out too?

  • Andy that is not true said,

    Andy,
Whoever told you that the Knight girl left Bishop McGuinness because college coaches told her to play better competition is bologna. No college coach told her that. They thought she was crazy to make that move. She left Reynolds because she had been begging to go back and play with her friends at Reynolds ever since she left Forsyth County Schools and her parents reluctantly caved. Reynolds plays weak Forsyth County competition. Bishop McGuinness was playing Dudley and beat them by 21 the year Dudley won the 3A State Title, and Dudley had a loaded team. Also, they played all of their non-conference games against some of the best competition in the state including Dudley who has a an awesome program and the top Charlotte public school teams and several of the top teams in the country at National Tournaments. Reynolds played Dudley this year and I give them credit for that but they typically play Forsyth County Girls Teams many of whom have been awful and would not have come within 15 points of the schools in the Mountain Conferenes. And on a side note, Dudley has been consistently very good and they should be very proud of their program regardless of what anyone else says.

  • and Knight is not going to Duke said,

Whitney Knight had committed to Duke and when everyone showed up for her signing a couple of weeks ago, she did not show up and said she was no longer going to Duke and opened up her recruting process again.

  • Andy said,

Like the one poster was saying about college coaches reccommending high schools, probably just a lot of talk….

Dudley’s girls have gotten off to a good start and they seem to be doing well in the transition.

Metro 4-A Conference ought to be a good battle with Dudley, Page, Southeast and others, but those three have looked strong out of the gates….

  • BLUE & GOLD said,

    BRING IT ON!

    ANY TIME AND ANY PLACE!

OUR GIRLS OR BOYS WILL DOMINATE!

DONE IT IN THE PAST AND WILL DO IT NOW!

    Wow,

an ORMA supporter actually admitting that ORMA actively recruits players to play for them………..Being Real, you Sir, get mad props from me!

  • an outsider said,

Duh, ORMA is allowed to recruit, that’s what private schools do…..DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Andy said,

Good idea for us….Let’s lay off the coaches for a while and just let them coach….Several big games tonight……Time to work, time to play….

  • The Real Deal said,

Wow… I am an unbiased reader and responder here. I had the chance to meet coach McNeil this summer on several different occassions at AAU tournaments. He was there supporting his players which is a very good start to step in and leave his own foot print in the Dudley program. I dont know what kind of coach he is gonna be but one thing I do know about him from meeting him and having several extensive conversations with him is that he is a good person with good character and he has those girls best interest in mind over there and I’m sure he is gonna do any and everything for them. As far as the rumor about Delaney Rudd recruiting Dudley players…. I dont know where the rumor came from but I know its out there. Also I dont think Rudd really wants any of the players from Dudley. Granted that Kiera McIvor and KK Rouse play for him this summer but McIvor is already signed sealed and delivered to a D1 program and Rouse is probably getting pretty good looks herself outside of that nobody else on Dudley’s team plays the style of basketball that Rudd coaches. Not even Desiree Drayton. Not saying that she couldn’t play on that level because i think she could but the way she plays is best suited for the type of basketball that they play at Dudley not what Rudd coaches. So it wouldnt have been in her best interest to look to leave or in his to try to get her. Plus she is already signed sealed and delivered to a good D1 program too. We all gotta ask ourselves if Delaney Rudd wanted a highschool coaching job at a school in GCS with an academy or an IB program he would have taken one a long time ago and we all know he could have easily gotten one. I think Rudd is a great coach butI think he is an even better business man and this position at ORMA is good business for him. He dosent have to deal with the BS constraints of guilford county schools he can play who he wants when he wants and where he wants. I think players and parents of Guilford county schools approach Rudd about going to ORMA not the other way around. Plus all of the girls go and play for him durring the summer and have a great time with great success his track record is proven and he gets a lot of players to good colleges. Do you not think for one second some girls are like hmmm.. I can go play for my AAU coach in highschool and enjoy this same benefits year round. If you believe otherwise you are a lot dumber than what I even gave you credit for. All in all I dont think that Rudd is approaching anybody’s players but I have heard that alot of highschool coaches are spreading rumors that he is. They are lucky its not me in Delaney Rudds position because if I were and you kept constantly spreading those rumors trying to drag my name throught the mud then i would come get your best players OUT OF SPITE!!!!!!
