  1. I think we can make a similar argument here about Oak Ridge not being able to compete with the country’s BEST athletic programs since so many people are trying to knock Dudley. I mean really…..

  2. Oak Hill’s girls are very good. You couldn’t put the best players in the county on a team that could beat them.

  3. Let’s not forget that this is the first year of this girls team at Oak Ridge. The Oak Ridge team that they played will likely be ranked in the top 30-40 in the nation when the first rankings come out next week. Considering that this was Oak Ridges first trip outside of the state to play in a tough arena, only losing by 16 pts is not really bad. This same team will come to Oak Ridge in a couple of months. Other than Dudley, name any other girls team in the triad that is at least willing to play any teams worth seeing with loads of D1 talent on their roster. Whether it is this year or in the coming year or two, Oak Ridge will develop and bring in the horses to run with the other national teams. It is all about the experience and high level of competition for the team which will better prepare the girls for college basketball.
