  1. Who picks this stuff????? Elijah Jordan POY(not taking anything away from him)…. No respect for Mike Fields Jr.. once again 1952yrds and 32 tds …Iknow its Southeast but C’mon Man……..Who’s stats are more impressive than that ….Most tds in the conference 2nd most yards…..I know no one knows him in Greensboro but you cant overlook those numbers and Because the team isnt one of the BIG 4 in GReensboro they continually downplay his accomplishments …2 400yrd games in one season and he was in a backfield where he got the ball less than the FB …….If nobody else will say it Good job Southeast OL(shout to Seth Stone) and Michael Fields Jr… and to the rest of the haters C’mon Man youre better than that Greensboro……….Guess Its not what you do its who you know…….

  2. To “c’mon man” the coaches in the conference pick all conference, all-area, and all state…. its not a board or anything that happens to be located in greensboro… its the coaches from around… they bring stats and film to be watched to decide

  3. David Reader dominated every single one of these players on every list. It’s going to be funny when none of these guys go anywhere and my boy Deeg is at a big time college! Kevin Walton also a grimsley player had 63 tackles and 3 interceptions and made plays on both sides of the ball. He had 3 blocked punts in one game! Please tell me how he didn’t make it?

  4. I agree with Home cookin Kevin Walton was a terrific player for the whirlies this year… He’s a terrific talent and with him, Jake Simpson and the slew of talent they will have next year Grimsley will be forreal.

  5. Great job young men, if this was your last year I hope you are staying focus on the road ahead. If you are fortunate to go to college then your new goal is to get a degree, however, always remember that the sport that you love is only a game and a degree is what you are going to need to get a job if you want to succeed in life after college you are too old to play football.

  6. Yaayyyy Debo! That’s the BEST news I’ve read/heard today.

Way to go!! We’re all proud of you!

  7. @ Robert–

    Beautifully written.

On another note–The high school COACHES are the ones who send in the names and stats of the players into a selection committee along with video footage. They then vote to determine who makes the team. It’s coaches from all across the conference. The players coaches may (or may NOT have) recommended a player (or two) from a team. We will probably never know. I’m sure if you personally went up to a coach and ask why this or that kid didn’t get selected–nine times outta ten they’ll reply ” IDK—I KNOW I sent his stats in!” (I know if I was a coach, that would be MY response to an irate parent)

  8. Well Homecooking it sure is funny how David Reader can dominate every player on this list except he also got pancaked by J.D. Galyon, who happens to weigh 215 lbs in the Page Grimsley game…..twice. He is a talent but he did not dominate everyone on that list.

  9. Congrats to the guys who made all conference. These guys were all deserving, and I know that there will be some guys who were deserving who were left off. That is the way these votes go. If you didnt make it and have a chance to come back for another year, then work your butt off to get stronger and better.

Speaking of stronger, you should see the Page weight room now. It was already nice, but a lot more additions here in the last month have been made to make those boys faster and stronger. That room is crazy. Its very close to becoming a college weight room. My son said that the coaches are really emphasizing strength and conditioning at Page. He also said that the coaches were buying sleds for the kids to pull to work on leg strength and explosion. If you have a kid at Page, you should really go by and take a look at that weight room so you can see what kind of work your kids will be putting in.

Again, congrats to all that made it and if this was your last season, then represent your families and schools well by finishing what you start in becoming a successful young adult.

    GO PAGE!!!

  10. Homecooking, You’re wrong, many of the kids on this list will be going to big-time colleges. Good luck to your boy, but with a 1-10 record, I doubt if the recruiters are knocking down the doors on Westover Terrace!

  11. Smith deseverd to go all the way.! LB’s Dushonte Mccoy and Keith Coleman deserved better and they could have led them to History

  12. THE YOUNG MAN CHAUNCEY CARTER HAVE BEEN A GREAT PLAYER THIS YEAR ONLY PLAING A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF GAMES AND MAKING ALL-CONFERNCE AND LEADING HIS TEAMS IN PICK’S HE CAN BE A BIG PROSPECT IF HE PUT ON WEIGHT WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD IN SEEING HIM IN THE FALL FOOTBALL SEAON WEARING #11 FOR OAKRIDGE FOOTBALL GO CADETS
