Swimmers from The Greensboro Swimming Association and Star Aquatics,
two of the most prominent swim teams in Greensboro, are putting together a 24
hour Swim-a-thon in honor of Chase Bunting.

Chase Bunting was a local sixteen year old sophomore at Northwest Guilford
High who recently passed away from a brain injury. His family was very involved in
the swim community; his sister was a swimmer and a coach for a local high school,
CSA summer league, and year round teams. As a swim community, we would like
to help the Buntings pay for the hospital bills they acquired from Chase’s time in the
hospital. We also wish to help out the local community by donating extra funds to
a charity of the Buntings’ choosing. In order to succeed in raising our goal of
$10,000 for the Buntings, we will need as much support from the our community as

To entice swimmers to participate, we have created incentives for the
swimmers. We wish to purchase bumper stickers, swim caps and T-shirts as prizes
for swimmers who reach their donation goals. Also, at the Swim-a-thon, we wish to
give the swimmers enough food and snacks to keep them going for 24 hours. This
can get pretty expensive. The help of our community is vital . You can do your
part by donating funds to go to directly to the Swim for Chase organization,
sponsoring a swimmer you might know or be acquainted with or by assisting us in
purchasing or acquiring any of the prizes listed above. Also, if your business could
help by donating food, funds or prizes please email us at the address below.

Anything will help.

Checks can be made payable to Swim for Chase and can be sent to PO Box 697 Oak
Ridge, NC 27310. This would be a great help to our cause and goal of assisting a
local family in need and our community as a whole. This is a good opportunity for
our community to band together. Just a small contribution from everyone can make
a huge difference. We thank you in advance for your support. We hope to be in
touch soon. If you have any questions or concerns please email us at
