Dudley girls to play for Title in Nation’s Capital

The Dudley Girls have advanced to play in Championship Game in Washington, D.C.

Dudley wants to put the “BIG Dudley “D”, in the District of Columbia(DC)….

What do you say they make DC, Dudley Country?

  1. Congrats to the Dudley girls….After watching the PHI (boys and girls) sadly the competition around the city has really died down. Greensboro Day loses in the first night? That’s not supposed to happen. For girls basketball it seems like its Dudley’s girls and everyone else kind of like Duke mens team. As far as boys it appears to be ORMA and other private schools and the public schools (including GDS) are left scurrying and hopefully they get lucky during playoff play. Maybe its the “new-wave” to just transfer to a private school or post-grad, reclassing and playing an extra year versus attending a public school and playing a regular 4 years. But, attendance at the PHI will continue to die down and soon eventually be a non-chalant event held every year around christmas. I don’t blame Dudley boys for not coming back to the PHI because the competition isn’t the same as they are playing. Even if they have lost a step or two it still has to be a great experience for the kids on their team to get a chance to play some nationally prestigious high school basketball teams from around the globe.

Anyway I shall be at the PHI championship games tonight to support all 4 teams in the championship game.

  2. Lady Panthers take their 1st loss to the #4 ranked team in Nation Mater Dei. Ladies hung strong with California team 1st half w a team that has several major d1 committs including #1 Kaleeda (Uconn ) and other major d1 committs going to USC and Arizona. Keep heads high and congrats u made those ladies work and their coach coach..cause u never quit. Thanks to u Mr Hairston for coming to support ladies and taking great pictures. What a wonderful experience

  3. Congrats to Lady Panthers of Dudley High School who fought their way to the top in the
“National Title-IX Holiday Invitational” in Washington, D.C.
The Lady Panther’s played hard claiming a spot in the championship game against the
once ranked # 1 team in the nation, Mater Dei (Santa Ana, California).
The Lady Panthers held their own and gave Mater Dei a little business prior to getting their
1st lost of the season. What a great accomplishment! Ranked # 2 in the tournament!
Way to step up and represent Panthers!
