  1. ORMA girls and River Mill scrimmaged this past summer and ORMA killed them. River Mill did not want the scored recorded.

  2. River Mill does not want any part of ORMA. River Mill only has 2 quality (college) players and only 1 that can score 20 pts at any point. ORMA has 10 quality (college) players and at least 4 players that can score 20 pts in any game and at least 4 other players that can score 12-15 pts at any point. The defensive press that OMRA brings would limit River Mill to less than 40 pts while OMRA would score at least 70 pts in 10 out of 10 games.

Dudley is the only local (triad) team that has the scoring ability and athletes to compete with OMRA. It is not just the players that ORMA has but its the style of play that OMRA uses that would be the greatest issue for most local schools. Their up tempor style with heavy pressing and quick shot offense would crush most schools before the end of the 1st Q.

  3. Maybe we can get a matchup with River Mill and Bishop girls…..And then maybe we can match up ORMA and Dudley girls…..

Eastern Guilford needs some 3-A girls competition around here and we just might see that on January 25, when Northern Guilford goes to Eastern….

  4. Which game should we work on? River Mill-Bishop, cause that might happen in the playoffs, but it may have to come in the State Championship Game for the 2-A’s if RM goes East and you have to assume that Bishop would stay in the East….

Dudley-Oak Ridge may have to be an exhibition game and never say never…….NG-EG will happen on January 25……

  5. The Oak Ridge girls and the River Mill girls did scrimmage earlier this season. I was there.
The score wasn’t posted on the scoreboard because of NCHSAA regulations. (River Mill is in that league.)
River Mill outscored Oak Ridge in the 1st and 2nd quarters, and Oak Ridge outscored River Mill in third and fourth.
Both teams played well, and there was definitely props given by both teams at the end.
The scrimmage helped both teams prepare well, for their seasons.
I don’t know who “River Mill Backer” is…but I know for a fact that River Mill’s coach
has respect for Coach Rudd and his program.
I would imagine that Coach Rudd would give that respect back.
Anyway…best of luck to both teams!

  6. Hmmm…..River Mill has played Dudley and WON……Both ORMA and River Mill played hard and BOTH teams deserve respect. Both teams have players being recruited. No need to be a hater…
