New Elon coach Jason Swepson doesn’t see QB Russell Wilson returning to N.C. State

The new head football coach at Elon, Jason Swepson, was most recently the tailbacks coach on Tom O’Brien’s staff at N.C. State and while working closely with all the Wolfpack backs, Swepson doesn’t see Wolfpack quarterback Russell Wilson returning for the Red and White, in the fall of 2011…

Swepson told WRAL SportsFan and 99.9 The Fan, out of Raleigh, that Wilson is now employed by the Colorado Rockies and they are going to expect him to show up ready to work full-time this spring….Right now, there is nothing in Wilson’s baseball contract that would prohibit from returning to play football next fall, but the Rockies are going to want Russell to devote all of his time to baseball and there won’t be any time left for football….

  1. It`s about time.

Either he stays in MLB or I`m gone.

Tom take you pick, oh I forgot, he`s contractorly obligated to provide 100% dedication to the Colorado organization.

He will never get a whiff of playing on Sundays like myself anyway.

    Good riddance Russell!
