North Carolina over Virginia, 62-56, in Charlottesville this past Saturday and tonight, the Hokies from Virginia Tech come to town and face the Tar Heels in the Dean E. Smith Center, in Chapel Hill…..Game time is 9pm and the game can be seen on ESPN and heard locally on Jeff Cushman’s programmed RUSH Radio, 94.5FM…….

Tar Heels’ coach Roy Williams on Virginia Tech from www.wralsportsfan.com:

“It all starts now just like last year with Malcolm Delaney and with Jeff Allen. I think that’s where you have to start and they are good enough to accept that responsibility as someone leading their team and probably doing it verbally as well as with their play on the court. Those guys have been playing a long time. They have got the experience and the talent to be an extremely good team. And they were picked to be second I think in the league in the preseason by everybody. They are a good basketball team that has some chances to really do some good things this year.” – UNC head coach Roy Williams

  • Andy said,

This was one heck of a game….Last night I listened to the UNCG finish and then tuned in the Tar Heels-Hokies and it looks like the Heels are back for now and they are ready to challenge Duke, at least when they meet in Chapel Hill…

The talk or discussion now is Drew out and Marshall in as the North Carolina starting point guard….Kendall Marshall was big last night….
