Career-high for Duncan, as area’s only Unbeaten, Greensboro College stays perfect with Friday night win to go (17-0/11-0)

Greensboro, N.C. — Danielle Duncan (Greensboro, NC/Ragsdale) scored a career high 33 points as #16 Greensboro College defeated Methodist, 64-47, on Friday night. Duncan added 11 rebounds for The Pride (17-0, 11-0 USA South).

Duncan was 12-18 from the field and made 9-9 free throws. Teammate Nikki Wilborn (Graham NC/Graham) recorded 20 points. She was 7-18 shooting and made three 3-point baskets.

The Pride led 23-13 at halftime. MU trailed 41-35 with 8:33 left before the home team pulled away. The Pride went on a 19-3 run over the next 5:07 and led 60-38 after a Duncan basket. The 22 point margin was the biggest of the contest.

For the game, GC shot 36-percent (23-64) and MU was 17-43 for 40-percent. GC won the battle of the boards 39-32. The Pride committed 15 turnovers, and MU had 29 miscues

T.T. Taylor and Emily Huneycutt had nine points apiece for Methodist (9-9, 7-4).
